My name is Bob Gilliland and I live in the northeast corner of Oregon in the small historic town of Weston.  The Gilliland family is said to have come originally from Ireland and settled in Pennsylvania.  Eventually we traveled to Ohio and Iowa.  In about 1860 gold was found in Arapaho county Kansas, which in a few years became part of the new state of Colorado.  In 1875, we found it necessary to leave Colorado and traveled to Oregon by way of Texas, southern California and settled in Ukiah.
