Lenox_marker_big.jpg (121192 bytes) This plaque was first placed on the Lenox crypt in 1924 by his grandson.  When he was moved to the cemetery at the West Union Baptist Church around 1960, the plaque traveled with him.  It contains the family crest and a motto in Latin translated to say "The value of a gift is in the giver"

(If you know the significance of the elements in the crest, please email me.)
